My client called for help to locate her pool on the edge of her horse pasture. We decided to create a unique playful creative garden for her to relax and entertain. One challenge was to what to do with all the excavated soil. We opted to create a berm at the corner of her property to create a focal point for the street intersection. Another challenge was what to do with 2 shallow septic outlets located right next to the patio/pool. Two concrete drainage pipes were used to create planters that allowed us to berm the area while keeping the tank openings accessible. The custom built fountain utilizing her favorite boulders from a quarry visit, creates a dramatic focal point from both the upper patio and lower pool vantages.
